Lawrence Parks and Recreation will be partnering with the Lawrence Police Department and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire and Medical to host a Bike Rodeo and Helmet Giveaway for children and families this Saturday.

The Bike Rodeo and Helmet Giveaway will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, September 17 in the parking lot at East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St. There will be a simple obstacle course for children to ride their bikes through, bike safety demos, games, and other activities. One helmet will be provided for each child in attendance, while supplies last. This event is free to the public.
