Paradip: In an unfortunate incident, a school kid has gone missing near the sea here today. The kid is suspected to have gone missing while bathing in the sea after attending school.
According to reports, Preetam Das, a resident of Bhanja Colony in Madhuban area here was a student of Bethany School. He was studying in class IX.
After school was over at 9 AM today, Preetam along with his friends instead of returning home had gone to the sea to take a bath.
While his school bag, cycle and trousers have been found lying on the shore, Preetam is feared to have drowned while bathing in the sea.
Fire Service personnel and police have launched a search operation to rescue the missing child.
Preetam remained untraceable till the filing of this report.
