Wo Long Fallen Dynasty’s release date is set for early 2023. Based on Team Ninja’s previous releases like Nioh and Stranger of Paradise, we would expect the game to come out in March 2023.

This is speculation on our part, but Team Ninja hit that window pretty consistently so at the latest we could see it pushed to April, unless a larger delay happens. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on the same day.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty’s story is set in 184 AD in China. The game follows a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms.

‘Wo Long’ refers to a crouching dragon and also refers to a hero or person of greatness who is not yet known. Wo Long’s focus is on the officers during this time who will later become heroes.

The gameplay trailer for Wo Long Fallen Dynasty shows it to be somewhat similar to Nioh. However, with less of a focus on relentless attacking you will need to master dodging, parrying, and blocking. You will also be able to summon spirits to help you out as you make your way through the game’s linear levels.

There is a Wo Long Fallen Dynasty demo available today on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The demo features a look at the game’s gameplay, as well as multiplayer.

Clearing the demo will give players a special “Crouching Dragon Helmet” item upon the game’s release in early 2023. The demo will be available until September 26, 2022, so you have just over a week to get familiar with the game.
